CV

I am an historian of modern Scandinavia. As an undergraduate, I studied law and general history at Tel Aviv University (IL). I earned a master's degree in European studies at Aarhus University (DK), where I was first exposed to the intriguing and unique history of the Nordic countries. Upon returning to Israel, I completed my PhD on the rescue of Danish Jews during the Holocaust in the Israeli culture of memory, and it was awarded the international Raoul Wallenberg prize. I completed my postdoctoral studies at the University of Freiburg (DE), and since 2018, I have been teaching at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's European Forum.

In recent years, I have focused my research on the complex relationship between Israel and Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. My book Israel and Scandinavia: the beginning of relations was published in 2021 (Pardes Publishing).
